Cheryl and the list --

Those hints from Heloise about freezing water in bottles made me laugh.
They've been used in my husband's family for years...and always refered to
as "Heloise bottles."

>From personal experience, I know that my "extra freezer" for the frig in the
basement, will hold 30 frozen two liter pop bottles.

During Lent, I start collecting 15 clear and 15 green ones from our parish
fish dinners to be used as freezer packs for the den coolers at day camp. I
use clear ones one day, green ones the next. By alternating them, all the
bottles have a chance to refreeze solidly before being used again.

They are really heavy to lift, but every morning, my husband and I haul them
out of the basement for day camp.
