I've had it...

Catching up on a couple weeks of journals here, and have gotten MAJORLY tired
of those of you with the problem over youth receiving Eagle "too young".
AVERAGE AGE OF SCOUTS GETTING EAGLE is currently about 14 years, 9 months.
Thats about a month older than it was when last averaged (no one said when
that was).
So if you guys are so set on DELAYING it until "maturity" sets in whats
happening with the rest of the BSA? Answer: They know to let the kid do what
the kid needs to do when hes ready to do it.
And look at the program work, folks. Its being written for 11-13 year olds,
aimed right at that age level. How many of your high schoolers never have to
crack the MB book and can go finish up something the next day? More than you
would think.
Instead of complaining about kids getting it too young or hinting at someone
running an Eagle factory, let me run this by you -- what has you so scared
you can't let these kids complete the task at their own speed and then
letting them move on and spread their wings?
