That might work, but it might be a case of the "cure is worse than the
disease".acetone and xylene are extremely strong solvents that have been
shown to be carcinogenic and can be absorbed through the skin. Their use in
industry is carefully controlled. I don't think we should be adding these
to our summertime first aid kits!

If this one were ever to get implemented, the debates on this board among
the "advancement police" would be wonderful! Could the vehicle be driven
off the the Chesapeake Bay Bridge instead of the San Francisco Bay Bridge?
What is the minimum height/span of a bridge to qualify for this
requirement? Does the scout have to be in the vehicle when it runs off the
bridge? Must he be driving or can he be a passenger? Front seat or back
seat? Can it be simulated (car already in the water) or must it be live?
Can it be done in fresh water or must it be saltwater? Can he do it before
he has obtained the permission of the SM?
Oh, this one could get fun !!! <vbg>
