While sitting in district committee meeting this week the subject of
Garfield as a Cub Scout mascot came up and one of the committee members
took a stance almost exactly the same as yours (to which I agree to a
certain extent). One of the Boy Scout guys turned to me and said under
his breath "I guess the Joe Camel deal fell through". I about fell out
of my seat but it did put it into perspective for me. They could have
done worse!
