Here's one you can use to spruce up a Cub Day Camp, Webelos Camp,
or Summer Camp. We find a nice sloping hill. We place hay bails about 3
feet apart down the hill. Cover with old carpet and then cover with 6 mil
plastic. Add a few soaker hoses and poof ... Waterslide!!!!!
It works and I am about to build one for the start of three weekends of
Webelos camp. We usually put the activity before or after the pool time as
they only need a swim suit and a good attitude. We do the water filled
coke bottle rockets on one day and the water slide on the next..
Our theme for Webelos camp is "Jedi Acadamy". The slide is supposed
to represent escape practice procedures from a Super Star Destroyer.
The Coke bottle rockets teach pressure and aerodynamics. The main thing
is to get the kids wet in the hot temps of June.
