Powder Horn IS NOT Wood Badge, and the new training concept....

The BSA Program Group (Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, and Venturing) are
deveolping a
new Total Training Concept. Woodbadge (*and there will be only one
Woodbadge*) will be at the center of Total Training. The Venturing Powder
Horn will be the trough you go to for high adventure training.
There is a rumor that the BS division hopes to have an outdoor skills course
that Venturing adults and Cub Scout adults could attend, too. It is exciting
that the three programs are working together. Maybe the results will be
people thinking once again that it is expected that kids will be Cub Scouuts,
then Boy Scouts, then Venturers.
I emphasize, however:
Powder Horn will not be Woodbadge. It will be its own animal. And an
exciting one at that.
