Dutch oven out west here is considered a cast iron(no tin, steel or aluminum
please) pot , wire handled ,of various quart capacity with a flanged lid
(for retaining hot coals) and short legs (to hold it above more coals and
passes a taste test for the most delicious ambrosias on earth.
The ideal 50 miler anchor.(if you have ever hiked one into the hinterlands ,
anything cooked in it takes wonderful and worth the effort)
