Roles of men and women leaders

This weekend I finished my Adult Leader Training. During closing
remarks, our council executive discussed the roles of men and women
leaders. He said women leaders should be "nurturers" while men leaders
should be "examples".
How do you feel about this? What role should women play in BSA,
particularly in Boy Scouting rather than Cub Scouting?
