This sounds like an excellent idea. You may still have to do some
screening when the Scouts discover they can bring their own 3x5 cards.
Never!?! :)

We started doing a similar thing with meals, but have kind of dropped
the ball. The idea was to have cards for breakfasts, lunches, dinners,
and crackerbarrels. The card would contain the recipes, list of
ingredients, list of needed utensils, and cooking instructions for an
entire meal. The patrols could pick cards during menu planning, make
desired substitutions, and quickly put together a shopping list. We need
to get more cards written up and add the skit/song cards, too! Thanks,
Bob.
