3 x 5 cards

Bob and Rusty Taylor (brtaylor@TELEBYTE.NET)

If I mentioned this idea before, please dis-regard this posting. my brain
is soggy from all the rain we had this winter and the mold is clouding my
thinking process:)

we are trying to encourage our boys to use skits/songs/jokes more as part
of their activities. usual response when you call for a song/joke/skit is
either "I can't think of anything" or something that is soooo OOOLLLDDD,
that ist is really stale and a put off for all but the newest Scout.

possible solution: take jokes/songs,skits from Boy's Life, Scouts-L, where
ever you can find them, and put them on 3x5 cards. maske these available to
the SPL or whoever is conducting hte meeting, and suggest that he
distribute them to patrol leaders, with the hint that their patrol may be
called upon during the evening to contribute a joke/song/skit and that they
would do well to prepare for this possibility.

this method has two advantages
1-the 3x5 card fits into a Scout shirt pocket
2-the issue of screening jokes/songs/skits is already taken care of.

what do you folks think of this approach?
