I agree with your comments, but would like some input on the uniform issue.
especially in situations where the 8 methods of Scouting have not been well
implemented, uniforms typically run into quite a bit of resistance (both
from boys and parents, maybe more from parents?)

my own opinion here, but I hope it is correct:)--it is one thing to give
the boys leeway to RUN the program, but I don't think it includes ALTERING
the program (the Eight methods of Scouting), uniform being one of these 8
methods. how do you approach the situation when one of the eight methods of
Scouting is on the line?
