Brother and Sister L'ers,
(The following is said only in jest)
I reliable source has just alerted me that there is now a new virus out
that causes listservs all around to be inundated with many messages that
state and restate the same thing about itself. I would like to know how
to protect my email program and computer from this menace.
Will an antivirus program work? HELP!! So far I've received 17 such
messages on this listserv alone!!
But seriously guys.. the rash of warning mail that goes out is probably
as much of a menace to any ISP as the actual virus. I would conjecture
that the amount of real viruses sent probably adds up to only a
miniscule *fraction* of all the virus warning mail that has ever gone
out.
