Well, the old salt is "the way to a man's heart is through his stomach!"
Demonstrations of camp cooking, mouth-watering aromas, sampling of
results, etc. should get the men's attention. Make sure that your
cooking demo also displays and uses proper methods for handwashing and
dishwashing in camp. Might have a lashed together food prep table and
dish drying rack.
Also, displays and demos of anything to do with the toys of camping,
hiking, backpacking, etc. Multipurpose tools, up-scale compasses, GPS
systems, compact stoves, SELF-INFLATING sleeping pads, hi-tech rain
gear, knives, gadgets, etc.
Lots of photos displayed on poster boards showing adults and Scouts
having fun together, not just instruction type of interaction, but the
touch football and volleyball games, the headscratching at the trail
intersection, the fishing rodeo, the swimming hole, the campfire, etc.
Hope this helps.
