Arrow of LIght and Crossing over

Well, I got my Scorpions and EAgles crossed over to Boy Scouts Wednesday
night. What a great Blue and Gold Banquet it was. However, I am
concerned about the recent discussion of the NEW AOL requirement. I don't
think it's new - it was written that way last year as I read it. However,
here's the situation.
Most of the boys finished their AOL in January. I filled out the
paperwork and turned that in and purchased the awards. We rechartered
both the Pack and the Troop on February 11. The Boys crossing over were
deleted from the Pack charter and turned in their applications with the
Troop charter. Two boys did not have all the requirements finished until
after the January Pack meeting but in time for submitting their
application for the Troop on February 11. The AOL paperwork was handled
by the Advancement Chairman, who probably turned in that paperwork
February 12. The boys had their ceremonies February 18.
Are you telling me that the two boys who earned their AOL at the last
minute (with a lot of help from den leaders and parents) will NOT be
officially credited with their AOL award because the paperwork lagged a
day or two? What will that do to these two boys who are not yet 11 yet
who have joined a troop when it comes time for their Eagle Award? (too
many yets in that sentence!)
What should I do? This isn't something I could have anticipated.
