3-season tents and sleeping bags

A four season tent refers to a tent that can withstand the heavy
snows and strong winds of a cold northern. For the Rio Grande
valley camping, a 3 season tent should be fine. A friend has
recommended for years that a good washable sleeping bag is
made by a company called Wiggy. They have a lifetime warranty
against everything from snagging zippers to low loft. I've heard
mixed reviews, so I'd check around first. Here is a link to what
sounds like a pretty honest review:

And here is a link to a selection of bags made by Wiggy:

Slumberjack, North Face, and others make good bags, but they
may be a little more pricey. And if you're car camping, a wal-mart
bag will do just as good. It's just a lot heavier and bulkier.

Hope this helps,

Alan.
