Are my eyes playing tricks?

...or do the "Boy Scouts of America" strips on the shirts on page LE 1, in the
1999 BSA Official Catalog (Leader's Edition), look brown?!? When you compare
them to the red shoulder loops, and to the strips on the shirts the women are
wearing on page LE 3, they sure look brown to me!
I thought it was new, and I like the idea!
Anyone else notice this?
