Some of the troops in our area do this, too. In one case that I know of,
another organization uses the church hall on the first Monday of the month,
so it's logical for the troop to skip that week.

I've also heard of troops that skip the troop meeting one week a month in
favor of patrol meetings.

I'm curious what a typical month's schedule looks like for other people. Is
there a particular week that you do menu planning? Do you have patrol
meetings within the troop meeting one or more weeks a month (other than a
brief Patrol Corners)? And, if you have less than four troop meetings a
month, does that allow you enough time to get everything done that you need
to do at the troop meetings?

As Judy notes, it's interesting to hear about how other people work the
program. No one right or wrong way, it seems, but lots of good ideas out
there.
