Dear Bryant:
The Blue and Gold colors are the Cub Scout Colors. Blue stands for truth and
spirituality, steadfast loyalty and the sky above. Gold stands for warm
sunlight, good cheer and happiness. The dinner is a birthday party
celebrating the founding of BSA on Feb. 8, 1910 and the founding of Cub Scouts
in 1930. Your probably looking for more than this, but I hope it helps.
