There is no way to encourage support for a gun related program when a
parent feels strongly about the subject. That is why you should have
a permission slip for the parents to sign whether or not they want
their kids involved, and respect those wishes.
BTW, my older son is a proud holder of the BB Gun belt loop (earned
at Summer Cub Camp), and the younger one will get his this summer at
his first Cub Camp.
