You sound like you're a few years younger than I am, because Xerox became
known for one thing and one thing only--plain paper copiers. I can remember
those early machines because I used to have to use Brasso (TM) on the drum
every three weeks. And when I scratched that drum, you don't know what kind
of trouble I was in. I was working in an engieering office and we certainly
didn't
need extra lines on our drawings (yes, I'm old enough to have worked with
pencils and drafting machines on drafting tables, not CAD machines).
Well, when you wanted a copy you "Xeroxed" the original.
