You know, people say that, but generally, the Venture Patrol (yes, that is
the new designation) program has been withering ever since its appearance on
the vine. Some councils use the program tremendously, most do not. But, it
is still a marketing situation that we are woking on.

Sounds like a good idea. Simply form a Venturing Crew 123 that will be
partnered up with Boy Scout Troop 123 and Cub Scout Pack 123. The boys can
move up to being green-shirted Venturers when they turn 14 or when they feel
ready.
If they are First Class Scouts, they can continue work on Eagle even if they
aren't in a troop. If they're not First Class, they can simply multiple with
the troop. Plus they can work on the Venturing Bronze, Gold, Silver, and
Ranger Awards.

It would not be inappropriate to say that National took into consideration
international terminology when they named the new Venturing Division.
