Well, Scout, with a capital S, and not used as part of a phrase
"Indian Scout" or some such, and certainly when used in connection
with a youth organization, is most likely protected. Unlike
trademarks, Scout being the subject of special legislation, likely
BSA doesn't need to sue everyone to make sure its right of exclusive
use is not lost through acquiescence in misuse.

Don't you love the lawyerspeak: most likely, likely. Nothing is
certain except death, taxes, and Scout appetites.
