As long as the advancement chair is not a MEMBER of the BOR (or even in
the same room while it is going on), why not?? The chair can prepare
the copies of the package for each board members and the BOR guidelines
-- or even go so far as to review procedures and answer questions for
the BOR members before it starts. But, no way can they express an
opinion on the son's qualifications.
