our practice has always been to send the money directly to the
Treasurer/SM of the new Troop .............we do NOT refund money
directly to a Scout who moves, or chooses to change Troops.......but
since the money in the Scout account was earned for the purpose of
supporting Scouting, and few kids have a choice in whether they move, we
have felt this was most fair..............our Troop has written this
practice in our Troop Guidelines/Bylaws/Policies Handbook..........and
since every parent gets a copy when their son joins, we have never had a
problem with htis issue.
