You should need no flame proof suit for this one.
1. The comittee chair person is the person that ALL adults are
responsible to, not the CM. He is just the front for the boys.
2. In your place I would have and have asked the leader to dump the
drink or leave the function.
3. If you need support call on your unit commissioner. some are useless
but most are very good.
4. \the message that needs to be sent is BSA does not condone drinking
at any function. when you wear the uniform, you are representing the
National Orginization.
Check your uniforming guide. There are some interesting points in there
about just who actually "owns your uniform.
PS if the Committee should deceide to "fire" you you will not be the
first. however do not leave the unit, if you do you have no say at all
in thier internal actions.
