And those closer to "home" that cannot get back "home" for one
reason or another. We have a lot of soldiers, sailors, airmen and
Marines that are "on base" because of mission neccessity.

They can use a card or poster too!

For those with access to America Online, going to Keyword MCO would
also yield some information as well, but I second Bob's statement
above. Remember gang, Reserve and Guard commands have "PIOs" or
"PAO" offices (Public Information, Public Affairs) and even though
many of those Reserve or Guard members are "home", there are
significant numbers that are sent overseas someplace in the "normal
course of events" and would welcome a card or letter. For
instance, here in Minneapolis, there are 29 members of the Regional
Support Command (RSC) that are overseas in "the desert" performing
support missions for the *last crisis* in the Gulf; and another 8
that have been there since the *time before crisis* in the Gulf.
