Fw: Scouting is a Game, Not a Science

A big BRAVO for Ray.
Robert Baden-Powell had all the ideas and we interpret them. Our HQ
sometimes seems wrapped up in ideas that go astray from the ideals of BP. I
know that the other rules and regulations help us to keep our scouts safe
but lets look at how serious we are. If your scouts are having fun then we
do too.
I have learnt many things through Scouting, confidence etc but the one thing
that has been the most important has been that I now know that I can make a
fool of myself and that I can make mistakes and the scouts laugh with me not
at me.... None of us are perfect and BP wasn't too. But then there is
nothing in his rules or our modern version that says that we have to
be...... We only have to "Do Our Best"
