+AD4-Why is this a problem? Why do you have two? Why not one meeting -
+AD4-combined so every one knows what's going on?? Why aren't your Den
+AD4-Leaders part of the Pack Committee??? Why am I responding to all these
+AD4AIg-whys+ACI-????

Jim,
I guess these are my questions as well. This is my second year +ACI-on the
committee+ACI-. I have been a den leader for 3 years, starting my 4th. Our
Pack Committee meets on the first Monday of the month and then I, as the Den
Leader Coach, bring all the information to the den leaders at the Den
Leaders meeting the Thursday of the next week (10 days later). That is why
I posted the question here. I guess the Pack has tried it both ways. If
they have the Den Leaders meeting first, questions or comments the leaders
have get brought to the Committee meeting by the DLC. But then the
decisions have to be relayed back to the Den Leaders via phone. If the
Committee meets first, information then goes to the DL's but if they have
questions or concerns, phone calls have to be made to the Committee for
decisions. I wanted to pose the question of why both don't meet one night
and have all the questions and answers be sorted out together, one night.
But I remember a friend who was on the committee three years ago, said he
wanted both to be on the same night, he was shot down saying that there
would be +ACI-too many cooks in the kitchen+ACI-. We have eleven dens and the Pack
Committee is made up of ten people (most of the time only half show up). I
am getting frustrated because as DLC, it seems decisions that are made at
the Committee meetings, when I get the information to the DL's, by the time
the Pack Meeting rolls around, I have people coming at me from both ends,
telling me they understood different things. But everytime I suggest
something to the Committee I hear, +ACI-Been there, Done that. It doesn't work.+ACI-
So before I go in and suggest having both at the same time, I wanted to hear
y'all's experience and what works for you.
Any replies would be appreciated.
