Some Popcorn Popping ideas

This is just a sample of some Popcorn Popping methods that have been used by
our list members.
1. The old standby Jiffy Pop Popcorn. So far this has been number one on
the list of poppers used by scouts both past and present. The only problem
with Jiffy Pop is finding it in local stores!

2. Dutch Oven Popcorn. Yes the old faithful Dutch Oven has come to the
rescue. The major problem with this method is the lid being popped off
while it is in the fire!

3. BSA Cook Kit. Use the large boiler add a little oil and cook over the
"Coleman" stove! Be sure to shake, shake and shake the pot. And then shake,
shake and shake the pot.

4. This one wins the "Ooohh Popper" award. You need a reflector oven
(cardboard box and tin foil will do) and a Extra Large Turkey Oven Roasting
Bag. Build a good fire with coals, place the R.Oven near the coals, put the
popcorn in the Oven Bag with oil and salt, tie it off and cut a couple of
small silts in the top of the bag. Put the bag in the R.Oven and listen for
that little pop, pop, pop, pop and in about 10 min. you will have a bag full
of popcorn.

5. Paper bag Popcorn. In one bag put your corn and a small amount of oil,
then put that bag inside of another bag and fold the top over. Then hang it
from a stick over an open fire being careful not to burn the bag. With a
little patience and practice you will have a bag full of popcorn.

Most everyone agrees that you need to use Trails End Popcorn!

I will post more as they come in.
