Introduction

Greetings all;

It's been over a year since I last subscribed to the list. Hope I haven't
missed too much.

I been an adult leader since 1979, primarily at the district level with
commissioner service. I have fulfilled other roles in cub scouting to
include DL, WL, and CM. Until recently I was the Exploring advisor for a
Post at the University of South Carolina comprised mostly of eagle scouts.
I have done a number of projects and assignments at the district and
council level to include; Woodbadge staff, FOS chair, EXPO chair,
Camporees, Day Camp Director, etc. Yea yea, I know what you're saying; I'm
one of the guys that just can't say no. Well you're probably right. It's
just too much fun. ;-)

During my free time I serve in the Army with Recruiting. I'll be retiring
in the next few months and am aggressively pursuing a second career.
Something I haven't had to contend with for 20 years.

Being in the military I have had the pleasure of being involved with a
number of councils from Heart O'Texas, Black Beaver in Okla, Transatlantic,
National Capital Area, and now Indian Water Council in Columbia, SC where I
have been for the last 5 years.

I look forward to sharing in the joy of scouting on the net and hearing
from everyone.

Scouting has been a significant part of my life and the friends made are
the best you can find anywhere and have the purest intentions, normally :-)

Sincerely in Scouting

Barry
