If someone has a real problem with this...

....please respond straight to me and let the list rest. It apparently is tired
and sore and exhausted, poor thing, its just dumped 4-5 days of digests on me
at once.
Anyways, ABOUT TIGER CUBS AND CROSSOVERS - I was told Tigers were being
integrated into the Pack and that they would be members from day one. That
being the case, and in hopes of stopping everyone who will continue and say
"but we've ALWAYS done it for the others", I strongly suggest that we drop
Tiger Cub Crossover ceremonies from the list of "important things to do this
year" and instead put the emphasis back where it belongs - one crossover, from
Webelos to Boy Scouting.
We're losing too many Webelos here. Some because the craft-styles of the first
few years are being perpetuated by unwilling to change Den Leaders. Others
because they are dragged by sports. Others because of family or other things.
But we need to realize that there is one place we should concentrate our
efforts, and that is turning the Webelos-to-Scout crossover into something
important.
Stop trivializing by offering to do it at camp-o-rees after they've already
crossed. Stop making it a follow-up to the little kids. Don't worry about
broken hearts - if they decide not to continue they don't cross the bridge.
AND USE A REAL STINKING BRIDGE - or at least something that looks like one.
