Dear Scouters,
I just wanted to share this post below with you. I have received
permission from the author to share it. Sometimes we forget that
others are out there facing the very problems that we are discussing,
and listening to us discuss them. I just wanted to remind all of us
that sometimes what we say is hurtful even when we don't mean it to
be. This post was sent to me earlier this week by a Scouter from this
list. Obviously the person was hurt by comments made by some of us.
Please, please remember to check your responses to see if they are
loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, cheerful, and reverent. I
have been remiss also in the past, I will strive to be better in the
future. I have removed the identifying features to save privacy.
Thanks for caring,
Pam Glidden
