A Scout is tolerant?

Question - Has anyone had actual experience with a good scout whose
religious beliefs do not coincide with wearing a uniform?
No guesses here - looking for a "been there, done that, handled it this way"
response. Any "official" stand as far as BSA goes other than "we are a
uniformed organization"?
Don't clog the airways - private response please
