ADMINISTRATIVE: Truncated Digest, etc.

Hi All ...
I've received several postings about the truncated digest that occurred
a couple of days ago. The problem stemmed from the disk drive that holds
the current archives and the daily digest filled up. I've since moved
some of the archives off to another disk free up enought space to cover
us for several more months. I knew about the filled disks but took me
a moment to realize that truncated digest would be a result.
Anyway, while I have your attention, the usual reminders:
- DONT SEND MIME or HTML EMAIL! The listserv does not handle mime
or html formatted email (especially in digest mode) besides the
majority of readers cannot handle it anyway. If you dont know
what is ment by mime or html, ask your local support person.
- The BEST guidelines in ALL postings is to abide by the Scouts Oath
and Promise. It is valid to discusss ideas and to disagree
but NEVER, NEVER on a personal level.
- Dont quote messages when replying (if you feel you just have to,
then EDIT OUT ALL BUT WHAT IS MINIMUMLY NECESSARY)
- Keep your postings realated to scouting topics. These virus hoaxes
are taking way too much time/resources away from our normal
topics. Just dont post such things.
- Use private email whenever possilbe (congratulations, thanks, etc.)
- Keep length of lines 72 characters or less
- Keep signature lines reasonable in length (4-5 lines max)
- No commercial advertising
- Learn how to use your email software so you dont make mistakes.
Your mistakes are sent to over 2,000 scouters :)
