If you don't have people doing scouting without financial rewards, then
you likely won't have scouting, scouting, is a business, but its
business is boys and the program that we provide, we need people, and I
plan to be one, once I finish college, that work professionally for
scouting.
In my opinion, Jere does not make enough for what he does. We must keep
it in perspective...Deos Michael Jordan or Peyton Manning(sorry, I'm a
Hoosier) make too much for what they do, probably, but they are role
models for youth, and Jere and Scouting do great things for our youth, and
it's worth every cent he's paid.
