Hi Scouters!

No question, Jay's site is EXCELLENT!
However, I think Jay would agree that there is ONE other URL worth
checking out. That is the URL for the Pinewood Derby Ring Index at:
http://www.webring.org/cgi-bin/webring?ring=pwd;index ...and yes, Jay's
Pinewood Derby Page is listed there.
The Pinewood Derby Ring currently connects the fifteen 'best' Pinewood
sites via a Webring. It is the brainchild of Mr. Stan Pope (or should I
say "Mr. Pinewood Derby.") If you don't know who Stan is, GREAT! That
means that the 'secret' is still safe. If you DO know Stan, then you
KNOW what I mean! If your son's buddies are reading Stan's tretise on
high performance car design and construction, "Learn to Build a Winner,"
then you better get with it too, or just focus on helping your son learn
to build a "Best Looking Award" car.
OK, OK... Before someone (like Stan) starts-in on me for being one of
those dads who focuses his son on winning-at-all-costs, I need to say
that I'm just having a little fun here. : -) : -) Winning is OK, but
not winning is pretty cool too if your journey to the Derby is a shared,
educational, and fun adventure for you and your Cub.
So anyway, check out the Pinewood Derby Ring and Jay's page. While you
are there you really gotta see
Anne's and
Randy's and
John's and
Dave's and
Ron's and
Darin's and
Chris's and
Robert's and
Cory's and
the other Chris's and
the other Randy's and
Bill's
and of course, Stan Pope's pages.
May your axles be true, and your track be swift!
Don
