All the good news that the powers that be sometimes read and take heed of the
postings on Scouts-L aside, I gotta tell ya: I just went to an all-day
training session for the local four-council area (various topics, some would
call it a Univ of Scouting, you get the idea) and the people who routinely
read Scouts-L were the only ones who had heard details about advancement, the
new H&S curriculum, and Venturing/Exploring/LFL. Once again our friends here
have made it possible for us to be "cutting edge" for our councils and units.
Is there some particular preason which actually PREVENTS official
announcements from being posted here, so we can then pass them along? Seems a
waste of a perfectly good resource to ignore this route to rapid information-
dissemination.
