Cheryl,
Some of us who are subscribed to the digest version of the list have to cut
and past quotes instead of hitting the "reply to author" button. That
usually requires denoting quotes by hand, hence the quote form above (which
is easier to deal with when dealing with quotes of quotes of quotes).
Sometimes we get in a hurry to send the message and forget.
