I have my share of choosing youh for jlt courses. youth, it doesn't matter,
part of the program is to teach them to be instructors. your spl and aspl
should be njlic trained if possible, or guided by someone who has experience
with the program.
adults - well, we look for two things. the first is actual unit experience in
a youth-run patrol-oriented unit. thesecond, to avoid restarting a thread, was
what we called the wood badge ethic, which is hard to describe here, i'm
sorry.
