Lodge Archives committee

I posted something about this a couple of months ago but now thing's are
more serious. I've agreed to become the Archives advisor for our OA Lodge.
The committee is supposed to oversee & take care of Lodge history &
historical artifacts.
So far I'm it--this is a new committee and the youth Chair hasn't been
appointed yet. So we'll be pretty much writing our own job descriptions.
What was it the P.T. Barnum said was born every minute?
Is there anyone out there with experience who could tell me how they do this
in their Lodge? When the Chair is appointed I'd like to be able to give him
some background information.
And is there anyone out there who can post this request to Arrow-L for me.
I'm not a subscriber (Scouts-L is about all I can keep up with). But ask me
before you do so--I'd hate to have a dozen copies of this sent out.
Thanks for the help.
