I'm trying to get some one at my local office to tell me if there are =
any boy scout troops in my area, but as of yet they have not answered =
any of my calls, and it is an eighty mile drive (one way) to the office, =
I suppose they will get around to calling me soon but I have some =
questions that are bugging me.
What is the actual process for becoming adult volunteer?
I have heard every thing from signing a statement of intent with =
three references all the way to FBI background checks. I'm not worried =
about them finding any thing bad, I'm just worrying about what's =
involved.
Has it changed much in the last four years? (my absence from =
scouting)
It my youth troop meetings were a necessary evil one had to =
live through in order to plan the next camp out.

Thank you=20
