[Tigers]?

We don't charge Tigers beyond the initial registration (Sep - March).
We encourage, but do not require Boys Life (not my choice, but that's
the committee view).

Tiger family buys the Tiger activity book and uniform shirt (plus the
hat and belt if they so choose).
In a true case of dollar hardship, there are families in the pack
willing to help in this regard rather than a boy opt out due to
finances.

The Pack covers costs of totem kit(s), a den flag, grad certificate
and Tiger grad patch. Also the pinewood derby kit as a December time
gift (our pack PWD is in late January, dist. race is in February).

Tigers sell Popcorn with the rest of the pack IF they choose to do so,
but they are not required to participate.

Tiger Coach and/or pack and/or tiger parents cover craft items and
Tiger teams pays for any admission, e.g., Creepy Crawly museum gate fee.

We have great popcorn sales and it is usually our only fundraiser. On
rare occasion, we have done a car wash, e.g., to buy a good PWD scale
and the following year, a PWD timer. This past summer, we saw no need
for an extra fundraiser.

All boys can sell scout show tickets in march and early April if they
choose. But, our pack for the last two years, instead of putting
scout show ticket commissions in the pack treasury, has instead voted
to give the boys the full commission amounts as either (a) applied to
summer resident or day camp fees or (b) a gift certificate at scout
shop for uniform parts, new books or if the boy and parent choose,
optional items like craft kits, CS belt bags, flashlight, etc.

Usually our Tigers want to sell popcorn, and what gets sold, though
not that much, covers the group expenses mentioned above. We pass the
orange tiger flag down from group to group each year, but each Tiger
den gets its own Den __ flag now, as Tigers are now a part of the
Pack. (Now, if only National would just redo the Tiger Graduation
certificates so they don't appear to read the Tiger Cub Grad is only
then joining the Pack, I could really be happy)
