adult uniform question

I don't spend a lot of time looking at my feet, or other peoples feet, for
that matter. just got a new pair of pants, they need to be hemmed. how?
cuffs? no cuffs? does it matter?
fwi, I can do a hemming stitch (aka, invisible) but it sure takes a lot of time!
