I would like to thank each and everyone of you who sent me ideas on how
to deal with problems in one of the dens in our pack. I forwarded them
all to the leaders and let them read your responses. They have had their
first meeting and they started by having the boys set the rules and
punishment themselves. I must admit I thought the boys were hard on
themselves. The important part of all this is that THE BOYS did it!
They haven't delt with the parents yet. I did have a meeting with the
parents and got some great support for the pack in areas where there was
none previously so I am hopeful for the den too.
One of the leaders of that den agreed to be a leader as long as she could
bring her younger son to the meetings. We all agreed that was ok. Now
we don't feel like we can say you can't bring your kids but I can. That
one will take a bit more work but there were some excellent suggestions
on that too.
I do apologize for the untimely thank you but we had a Murphys Law week
going on at my house.
As a side note, We had our rally last night and had 12 kids show up. We
got 7 to join that night and that doubled the size of our pack, for now.
This may not seem like much to you but if you lived in Coyle Oklahoma it
would be an AMAZING accomplishment!!!!
