after a year and a half of struggle with the current SM, he announced to
me last month that his job hours were changing and it would be best for
him to step down to an ASM position............it was quite a releif
since we were struggling to decide at what point do we ask him to step
down.............we have now made an offer to a dad who has been with the
Troop for 2 + years as Advancement Chair....he is respected and liked by
the boys and the parents, and has the *people* skills to help undo some
of the damage donethis past year............he promised to give me his
answer this weekend at our yearly PLC planning meeting, after he's had a
chance to have a final discussion with his wife...........I'm pretty sure
his answer will be yes, since he didn't seem to have any real
reservations.............so wish us luck and let's hope he comes thru for
us!
Bev
Committee Chair
