Kure/Holden/Carolina/Atlantic/Wrightsville beaches - help

Bob Nix (boomerang@MINDSPRING.COM)

To People on the southern coast of NC - I need some help. The troop is
camping on the Coast of Noth Carolina 9/18 - 9/20. I don't have a place to
stay. I will have perhaps 25 Scouts, 4-6 adults. I need a campground,
preferebly state or national or county, (rather than private) or private
property, or an armory, or Coast Guard station. The most optimum solution
would include known good contact names and phone #s. I am looking at
Carolina Atlantic, Kure, Holden, Wrightsville Beaches; perhaps further
north.

I would prefer to camp on the beach, or within walking distance, rather than
driving to the beach. I am also interested in places to see, cheap. Is
there a Cosat Guard station we can tour? Loran station? marina? Is the USS
North Carolina worth the time and cost? what is the cost? Wherever we stay,
how far to bathrooms? water? can we cook?

Can anyone help? Please e-mail me privately. Thanks, profusely, in advance,
Bob Nix, Chaplain, Troop 316, Greensboro, NC .. ustababeaver..
