We (Troop 35 Narragansett Council) have always used a LTP for any overnighter
and most day trips (exceptions: a couple of times a year we clean historic
cemetaries and perform Adopt-A-Highway right down the road from our meeting
hall. There are computor generated forms that can make it very quick and easy
(all the backstuff can be rolled over each time). Sometimes when I am making
up one I jump ahead and get some submitted three to four months in advance.
Having a LTP kicks in the council insurance policy.............I like knowing
I have done everything possible to assure a safe event. We always use
permission slips too; again computor generated so that I just have to change a
few items and put a new clipart in it ( I have thousands and thousands for
clipart for every event.)
