I just got back from Philmont and they have an indoor climbing gym at
Cimarroncito, one of their climbing camps. They just had two staff
members in their "watching" us. One was reading a book and the other
was playing a video game. Philmont is high adventure, but at least we
know that BSA doesn't ban indoor climbing all together. It really is a
fun sport, and cub scout age is a good time to get started. Their
strength to weight ratio is just right. I bench press 320 lbs. and I
still have some trouble with difficult walls. Good luck and have fun!
