1) The requirement for Safety merit badge had been dropped.

2) Personal Fitness is now a required merit badge.

3) Swimming which was an optional choice with Sports and Personal Fitness
is now coupled as a choice with Cycling and Hiking.

This should still leave a total of 12 required with 9 optional.

If anyone can confirm this information, please let us know.
