This is a personal post to Dave and Genni, buy I am posting it because
maybe some others have some good ideas.
Saturday at 10:15 the fire alarms went off in Coplay and within ten
minutes the church garage was totally engulfed in flames. The fire
inspector quickly ruled it a case of arson.
We lost all of our scout equipment that was handed down to us by other
units. Klondike Derby sled, about 5 two man tents, 3 four man tents, all
of the neat crossing over accessories, a pine wood derby track that has
been around since before most of us were born, raingutter regatta
equipment, etc.
Fortunately, only by the grace of God was I able to salvage a foot locker
that was burned to a crisp on the outside but only the contents were wet.
All of our troop, pack, and post records were inside that foot locker.
Now they are drying out in my garage.
I figured you may want to know. By the way school night is coming and we
are not going to let this slow us down. Too many people worked real hard
to get the unit started back up again.
